Ugh . . .
The Lakers lose, again!
As a Lakers fan I thought it was normal that the team lost all eight preseason games because it was not at full strength, since Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard or Pau Gasol were out for rest or injuries.
But I was not expecting the Lakers to drop their first game of the season. It was a given that they were supposed to win this game against a light and banged up Dallas Mavericks team. Yet they still lose!
Anyway, it is a small rant from a Lakers fan. The team starts its season 0-1 but tomorrow night it heads up to Portland to face the Blazers. Even that game is not guaranteed a win because the Lakers are notorious for losing, and I mean losing big, in Portland; for some odd reason, the Lakers can never win in Portland.
Maybe they are cursed in Portland?
But this team can easily start the season 0-2, with another away game against the Clippers, who are an improved team.
Maybe the team is still adjusting since it has two new starters, but it better get it together soon, because the season has already started and games now count!
Get your act together Lakers!

Welcome back, NBA
Wow! What a long break it has been since the last time we saw the NBA.
The last scenes we saw from the NBA was in June when the Miami Heat won the NBA championship and watching all the LeBron James haters see him finally be successful.
Well, it is a new season and NBA fans all over the world get a fresh start with their respective teams.
Last season was difficult because it was a shorten season due to extended lockout the NBA had a year ago.
Now that it is a new start, a new season, a lot is expected to happen and the NBA knows how to make things happen.
Over the offseason, a lot of activity happened, the Los Angeles Lakers traded for Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, Ray Allen went to the Heat and just days ago the Oklahoma City Thunder traded its best bench player, James Harden, for future first round lottery picks.
The aging Lakers regrouped with acquiring the best center in the league, who is expected to be the next superstar to carry the team's incredible legacy. The Lakers have set themselves up to be a legitimate contender in the West again, but general managers in the NBA have them falling short in the finals against the Heat this season.
The Heat was able to contain its valuable pieces from last season's roster while adding Allen and Rashard Lewis. Miami is expected to repeat as champions this season from the majority of NBA analysts.
The Boston Celtics added a lot of good pieces in the offseason aside from losing Allen. They were able to make some good steals in the 2012 NBA draft by picking up Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo at the 21st and 22nd picks.
The Thunder are still contenders with its two star players, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, despite giving up Harden. Even if the Thunder does not win a title this season, they have set themselves up for a very successful future.
The Chicago Bulls are going to be without its star player, Derrick Rose, for almost the entire season since Rose continues to recover from an ACL injury he suffered in the first round of the NBA playoff last season.
As it looks to the start the season, the Lakers and Thunder are going to be No. 1 and 2 in the West and the Heat and Celtics are going to be No. 1 and 2 in the East.
Other teams to look out for this season are the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, if Andrew Bynum stays healthy, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It is too soon to predict what is going to come from this NBA season, but what fans can expect from the NBA this year is another crazy ride with lots of unexpected surprises!
Oh, and another thing NBA fans are going to enjoy this season, is that it is the last full season David Stern is going to be the commissioner!
So, lets raise our glasses and toast to the start of another NBA season! The party starts tonight with the Celtics at Heat at 4:30 p.m. PT following the Dallas Mavericks at Lakers at 7:30 p.m. PT on TNT.
